Between and Among

Between and Among
Between and among are both prepositions. There is sometimes confusion over the use of these two words.

Between
We use between to refer to two things (or more) which are clearly separated.

When to use Between

Between can be used with more than Two Things

For example:

    2)   Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.  (Bob Beauprez)

When describing spatial relationships, between usually means in the middle of something, or in the space restricted by something.

   1)   He drove too quickly between the cars.
   2)   The treaty between the nations was successful.

Between is used to connect times or numbers

Among
We use among to talk about things which are not clearly separated because they are part of a group.
👉 Among is usually followed by a plural noun. For example:

When describing spatial relationships among tells us that something is surrounded by something.
She wants to play Holi among girls.

Among could indicates that something belongs to a group-
