Advice or Advise?

It’s no wonder that advice and advise are often confused; they are used in the same context and are separated by just one letter.

What is the difference between advice and advise?

Irrespective of the form of English that you are using; i.e. British English or American English, advice is used as a noun while advise is used as a verb.
Advice is pronounced as ice  while advise is pronounced as realize.

Use of Advice-

Advice is used as a noun, meaning “guidance or recommendations offered with regard to prudent future action”.

👉 Advice is an uncountable noun.
Let me give you some advice.
Not: Let me give you an advice.
Mom gave her a lot of advice, but she didn’t listen.
Not:…a lot of advices

Use of Advise

Advise is used as a verb, meaning “to recommend or offer suggestions about the best course of action to someone”.
