Pachmarhi
27-Dec-2011

Dear Amit,
We planned to visit a hill station called Pachmarhi during winter vacation. It is also known for the Pachmarhi Cantonment. It is widely known as "Satpura ki Rani" (Queen of Satpura), situated at a height of 1000 m in a valley of the Satpura Range in Hoshangabad district. The highest point in the central India region and the Vindhya and Satpura range; Dhupgarh at 1100 m is located here.

Pachmarhi is a place where nature has found exquisite expression in myriad enchanting ways.Green shades embrace the mountains, and everywhere is heard the gentle murmur of flowing water. Bridle paths lead into tranquil forest glades, groves of wild bamboo and jamun, dense sal forests and delicate bamboo thickets.

There are so many places to see here but the best are as under: 1. Silver fall - about 1.2 kms of tracking through forest and down the hill. 2. Bee Fall - about 300 mtrs of trekking, a good place to sit and enjoy with your feet in water. 3. Dhupgarh - 18 kms from Pachmarhi, is a nice place to see sunset. 4. Mahadev - Shivling inside a cave. 5. Jatashanker - another unique place associated with Lord Shiva. About trekking of 400 mtrs and 60 step down the stairs.

Convey my regards to everyone at home. More when we meet.

Yours,
Ankur

Write a paragraph on good manners.

Good manners are the mark of good breeding and reflect directly on a person’s upbringing; therefore learning good manners begins at home and should be taught by parents.
Good manners do not come naturally, they have to be learnt. If children were not told and shown how to behave politely, they will grow up rough and rude.
If we practice good manners, we are showing people around us that we are considerate of their feelings and respectful. We are also setting standards for other’s behaviour and encouraging them to treat us with similar respect.
Good manners are very important as they teach us the way to behave in society. They enable us to make favourable impressions on others, at home, in school and in just about every situation in life.
