Answer the questions given below:
1.    Why does the poet say that it is a poor life?
Ans-
The poet says that it is a poor life because we do not have time for enjoying various delights of life.

2.    What do the busy and anxious people miss daily in their lives?
Ans- the busy and anxious people miss simple pleasures daily in their lives.

3.    Do the people have time to see the beauty of nature?
Ans- No, the people do not have time to see the beauty of nature.

4.    How does the poet present scenic beauty of nature?
Ans- The poet describes the scenic beauty of nature by saying that we should find time to stand under the trees and look at beautiful objects of nature as sheep and cows do. While passing through the woods, we must pause to se the squirrels busy in hiding their nuts in the grass. We should also stop by streams of clear water glittering like skies at night.

5.    What do you understand by the lines, “No time to wait till…….began.’?
Ans- By these lines, we understand that we should not miss the beautiful smile playing at the face of maiden.

6.    What is the theme of the poem?
Ans- The theme of the poem is that there is more to life than rushing about and working. One should take time to contemplate the wonders of nature.

Use the word given below and complete the sentences:

Example: We can not go outside as long as it rains.
1.    People stand beneath the roof when it rains.

Visit a river side /lake near by and talk about it:
Find answers to the following:
Q1. Did you see any birds, fish etc. near the lake?
Ans- Yes, we saw birs like sarus crane, spoonbill, white stork and fishes and tortoise in the lake.

Q2. What threes grow near water body? Find the names if possible.
Ans- There were many trees near the water body like eucalyptus, neem, peepal, banyan etc.

Q3. What was most interesting in the visit?
Ans- Sailing in the paddle boats was the most interesting in the visit.

Q4. Do a lot of tourists come there? Why?
Ans- Yes, a lot of tourists come there because of the scenic beauty and water sports offered by National Sailing Club.


Write three sentences about the woods.
Woods-
Woods is the area with high density of trees. Woods are the habitat of many wild animals. We get timber, gum, medicines and many other beneficial things from woods.

Write three sentences about the sky.
Sky-
Sky is the part of atmosphere of earth. During daylight, the sky of Earth looks blue and at night it looks black in colour. We see clouds and lightening in sky during rainy season.
