My favourite story book is MOG’s Christmas Calamity.
In this book, Mog, the cat was feeling happy. It was Christmas next day and she was sure to get lovely presents and an extra big egg for breakfast. While sleeping near the fire place Mog’s tail catches fire. Mog escapes from the place and creates a fuss around. The fire men were able to cease the fire from the house and from Mog also. Thomas family was able to have Christmas party with the help of neighbours and Mog gets even bigger eggs!

Let's make a bookmark

Make your own bookmark

Remember to treat your books well. Never fold the corners of pages. This makes books look shabby and old.
A bookmark helps you to find the page you were on when you last read your book.

Do you know?
The earliest books were written by hand.2000 years ago in India, brich bark (bhojpatra) palm leaves (talapatra) were used for pages. A pen and black ink were used to write on brich bark. A sharp, iron spike was used for writing on Palm leaves. Holes were drilled through the leaves and the book was held together by a string.
