Ans- Step well is a multi-storied well in which water is reached by descending a set of steps.

Ans- My grandmother used to get water from a nearby well for the house.

Q. From where do you get water for the house?
Ans- We get water from the municipal water supply tap in our house.

Q. What kind of travel arrangements were made for travelers in olden days?
Ans- In olden days travelers used to carry mashak (leather bag) and piaus were also built.

Q. Now a days, what do people do about water when they travel?
Ans- Now a days, people carry water bottles or buy packaged drinking water when they travel.


Q. Some people put a pump directly in the Jal Board pipeline. What problems would other people face due to this?
Ans- Some people put a pump directly in the Jal Board pipeline. Other people do not get enough water due to this.

People manage their water needs in following different ways:
1-  Water supply from jab board in houses all day long.
2-  From jal board water tankes.
3-  From wells
4-  Collecting the supplied water in tanks.
5-  From hand pumps
6-  Motoring up from borewell.
7-  Water from nearby canal.
