Ans- We will quickly evacuate and move out the pet to a safer place during natural disaster.

5-    Compare your house with that of Jasma. List in your notebook what material were used in making both the houses.

6-    What should one do in case of earthquake?
Ans- In case of earthquake, we should-



   

(a)   Leave the house and go to an open ground.
(b)  If we cannot go out of the house, we should lie down under a strong thing like table and hold it tightly so that it does not slip away.

7-    Why do people live together in a neighbourhood?
Ans- People live together in a neighbouhood so that they can help each other in case of difficulties and share their joys and sorrows.

8-    What can be done in case of famine and drought?
Ans- In case of famine or drought, food can be brought from other places so that there is no famine.

Seismology-
Seismology is the study of earthquakes and seismic waves that move through and around the earth.
Seismograph-
Seismograph is an instrument to detect and record earthquakes.
Richter Scale-
Richter scale is a mathematical device to determine the magnitude of earthquake. It was developed by Charles F. Richter in 1935.

Bihar,  August. 2017
With water levels in all major rivers going down, the flood situation is gradually improving in Bihar, an official said on Monday, adding that 514 dead bodies have been recovered so far.

A Bihar Disaster Management Department official said 171.64 lakh people in 2,371 panchayats under 187 blocks in 19 districts had been affected by the floods.

According to an official release, over the last two weeks, 8,54,936 trapped people were evacuated to safer places by the rescue teams of the Army, National Disaster Response Force and the State Disaster Response Force. Prime Minister announces Rs. 500 crore for relief after performing an aerial survey.

Following improvement in the flood situation, the number of relief camps for homeless people set up by the state government has come down and stood at 115 on Monday from nearly 2,000 a week ago. Similarly, the number of people living in these camps has come down to 1,06,650 from over two lakh.

For the flood victims, only 794 community kitchens are running now as for making food packets, against over 1,000 earlier, the official said.
