Q.1 Who are snake charmers?

Ans- Snake charmers are people who move from village to village carrying snakes in bamboo basket.

 

Q.2 What are the things that Aryanath’s father taught him when he grew older?

Ans- Aryanath’s father taught him these two things when he grew older:

 (a) Removing poisons teeth (fangs) of snakes.

(b) Closing the tube of poison in the snake’s mouth.

1-  Snakes do not have ears but they dance on been.

Ans- Snakes do not have external ears but they do have internal ears. Pet snakes respond to the movement of been and the been-player, not the actual sound.

 

2-  Snakes are friends of farmers.

Ans- Snakes are called friends of farmers as they eat rats in the fields, otherwise rats would eat the crops.

Activity

 Make a snake puppet

       ·        Take an old pair of socks.

       ·        Put on one your arm.

       ·        Stick buttons or bindis for the eyes.

       ·        Cut out a long red strip of paper for using as the tongue and stick it in the place as shown.

       ·        On the other side of the paper make a ‘V’ shaped cut.

       ·        Our snake is ready!
